Four Mile Historic Park
Founded and opened to the public in 1978, Four Mile Historic Park (FMHP) is the site of Denver’s oldest structure, the Four Mile House Museum. Currently, the site is a 12-acre public park of what was once over 600 acres of working farm land run by the Booth family for 80 years. The mission of FMHP is to educate, preserve and interpret the western rural heritage of Colorado to a diverse public. FMHP offers many educational programs, heritage events, and other special events. Four Mile Historic Park offers visitors a first-hand look at the lifestyle of the earliest settlers in the area and how they prospered into the 1880s. The Four Mile House Museum and outbuildings provide the centerpiece for a journey into the past, where visitors can directly experience what it was like to travel to the new frontier, with both the hardships and wonderment of this adventure.
